You can read our articles without an account. We do not run comment forms, booking forms, advertising, or visitor analytics on this site. We do not deliberately set advertising or analytics cookies.

Netlify hosts the website. It may process technical details such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information, and request times to deliver and secure the service. Its handling of that information is described in Netlify's privacy policy.

These pages use the AMP library, loaded from the AMP content delivery network. Your browser makes requests to that service to load the page's features. Those requests can include your IP address and browser details. If you view a cached copy through a search service, that service's own privacy rules also apply.

Links and bookings

Links may take you to hotels, travel resources, or other websites. Those services have their own policies. We do not receive the payment or passport details you give a hotel when you book.

We currently use ordinary external links and have no active affiliate arrangements on this site. In the future, some links may earn us a commission if you book through them. We will identify such links or arrangements where they apply.

Elena Marín is an editorial pseudonym used by Ceiba del Mar, with a generated portrait. The identity does not represent a verified traveler, professional credential, or history of hotel stays. First-person recommendations express editorial judgments. They are not claims of personal visits or testing.

AI tools assist with research, drafting, design, and editing. Hotel facts and traveler accounts are checked against available sources. Details can still change, so confirm material booking terms with the provider. Illustrations are labeled and are not photographs of the named properties.

For privacy questions, write to contact@ceibadelmar.com. If you contact us, we may use the information you send to address your request. Please do not send payment details, passport scans, or other sensitive documents.

We do not sell personal information. If you would like us to delete information you have sent directly, include enough detail for us to find the message. We may need to retain information where required by law or to resolve a dispute.
